For a NEWWW sound. I crave NEW.  But I'm going the lazy route and using Pandora Radio.

He has a voice that stays with you after hearing it once. He looks younger than he sounds. He sounds like he'd have some wrinkles with intense oldman eyes behind  thick rimmed glasses. I pictured him singing this song in a dark, smokey club. Him on stage sitting on a stool singing listlessly into a mic.
Why don't I shutup and let you take a listen:

I'm also getting into contemporary disco.
Here's where I'm gonna start. Hercules and Love Affair's label DFA. I haven't heard anything yet that annoyed my ears.

Click the pretty lightning bolt to begin experiencing.

Now...what else....THATS IT FOR NOW.

The Cool Hunter -- If you want to find "Cool" things.
Added a load of bands on Myspace to listen to later.

Free Classical Audio Books-- Where I downloaded Alice in Wonderland and The Scarlet Letter.
(The downside to this is that each chapter is read by a random person--not the same narrator. This adds to the strangeness of Alice in Wonderland, but I dont think I'd like it with The Scarlet Letter.

What do you miss most about being a kid?

Other kids to play with. Being friends no matter what. :C

Kids are smart enough to stay away from drama.
When we get older, we get dumber and end friendships over the stupidest things.

I was born on Father's Day. Sometimes my bday falls on that day. But this year we decided to smoosh the two days together and celebrate Father's Day AND my bday. So my Dad and I got our gifts at the same time. Before that we went to Outback Steakhouse. I had a choice in where to go, but decided to go to my Dad's favorite place. My logic...why make this day all about me when without my Dad I wouldnt be here?I don't care where we go as long as we're happy.

So we got Daddy some shoes (there were some fug shoes. we got the only ones that looked nice), some dumb Hallmark cards (We got the best we could. There was a section specifically for "black" fathers. Me and sis lolled so hard, we couldnt get Daddy any of those. One of the cards basically said "THANKS FOR BEING A BLACK MAN". And the pictures were so typical African American looking. Ya know, cartoon of a bald black man in a "cool" pose with red green and black as the main colors. Garbage.), Mommy bought him a ring which is a big deal because she stopped buying rings due to Daddy always breaking them. AND (the best present) we bought him a frame for a picture of his Mother.

Me and sis can never be modest enough to say we aren't attractive. We got some pretty genes. On both sides of the family. A random old lady told my mom at the resturaunt that she was pretty today. My uncle's (on my mom's side) daughter is drop dead gorgeous. She may not be some toothpick, but she is just radiant. Her sister is also very beautiful. And the men? WOOH. Girls be swoonin over my cousins!

Off topic.

So now MY presents. I'm listing them this year, because I am happy with what I got.

The Clash--A book I wanted since Christmas. It has beautiful pics of the best looking band in punk rock history. I'll also be reading the book too I guess.

Prismacolor markers-- An over 100 set of them! Mommy was shocked at the price when we went to buy them. I really did forget to tell her how expensive they were. I also got some colorless markers that are used to blend the colors better.

Some sketchbooks

Some drawing pens

A NEW iPod nano--I didnt expect that.

50 dollar itunes card--which is now a staple birthday/christmas gift in my family.

David Bowie's Reality tour on DVD-- also a surprise. Extra plus for being the older sexier Bowie. (not saying young Bowie wasnt nice, but Bowie got better looking as he aged)

CLOTHES! (what ma Dad got me). Very nice shirts, indeed....and...

I was spazzin. Kellee picked it out!

(I also found some COOL webusites by using the website Stumbleon.com. It's the easiest way to find sites you're interested in.)

Feeling: gratefulgrateful

The Emperor Caligula once decided to go to war with the Roman God of the sea, Poseidon, and ordered his soldiers to throw their spears into the water at random.

It was the custom in Ancient Rome for the men to place their right hand on their testicles when taking an oath. The modern term 'testimony' is
derived from this tradition.

The two highest IQ's ever recorded (on a standard test) both belong to women.

In the story of Cinderella, her slippers were originally fur, but they became glass because of an error in translation.

I had fun re-tagging my livejournal entries.

I suggest the brand new "facebook sucks" section.

I edited the entries with brand new spoiler lj-cuts (so no one will ever have to read my past nonsense). Straight to the point statements made after LOOKING BACK OVA MA LIFE AND I THINK THINGS OOOVAH. I CAN TRULY SAY THAT I BEEN BLESSED I GOT A TEST O MO O NY /random gospel song lyric.
